You might be surprised to know that Scotland experiences temperatures as high as 30 degrees. In June/July of 2009 I personally spent 5 days walking and camping North of Ullapool and had temperatures of 24 degrees and more on some days. Speaking with a man from England, who had just been to Skye, he reported 31 degrees on the island. That night the cheese and wine was paricularly nice sitting out in 28 degrees. The image below is from the 9th green at Durness, which is about as far North West as you can go and the temperature was 24 degrees.
